Checking-
Our checking accounts enjoy no monthly service fees, the first box of checks for free, and MasterCard® MasterMoney™ debit card access. Consider
direct deposit of your payroll and never have to worry about depositing
your paycheck again. Please fill out an Additional Services brochure in order to sign up for a checking account, checks, or debit card.
Christmas Club-
Stay out of debt for the holiday season by opening this club account
and make your holidays just a bit less stressful! You can start
the club at any time, no minimum balance is required and with payroll deduction,
making deposits to this club couldn’t be easier. Link your Christmas Club to your Checking account and on October 15th have access to your Chrsitmas Club funds through your debit card -- it's that easy!
Each year
around October 15th, the money accumulated in this account will
be transferred to your savings. *An early withdrawal fee of $10.00 applies per early withdrawal (any withdrawal made before or after October 15th from the Christmas Club.

Debit Cards-

and availability to its members. By utilizing your MasterMoney™
debit card, you can take advantage of this card wherever your journeys
take you. Instead of monthly interest bills, all this convenience

Express Line Phone System
Your credit union has a new ExpressLine Phone system. With this change, we have simplified our call flows. Please ensure you listen to the entire menu to see what options have changed and been added.
We now have a new system to assist you in processing your requests. Please listen to all the options now available.
Within Account Transfers (option 8) then option 2, the system says "savings to savings". This is the option you will use to transfer from checking to savings, as well.
Option 3 says Savings to Loan, you can transfer from checking to loan in this option as well. Just key in your Checking number and the system will accept it. You must enter 1# to complete the transfer or any financial transaction you transact.

Express Net Our Home Banking

so you don’t have to worry about emailing confidential information

Individual Retirement
Accounts (IRAs)-
From Traditional to Roth to CESA’s (Coverdell Educational Savings
Account’s), Hannaford Associates FCU has an IRA for you. Talk to a tax advisor as to which type is best
for your situation, then contact an IRA Specialist at HAFCU:

We offer weekly contribution capability through your payroll
deduction, too! If you already have an IRA with HAFCU then please fill out our payroll deduction form.
Money Market-
We offer an Express Net Money market, which is a high yield account with no minimum balance required. To sign up for an Express Net Money Market we do require that our members sign up for online banking and e-statements. Please fill out an Additional Services brochure in order to sign up for this product (and the Express Net services).
We also offer a Traditional Money Market that offers a rate higher than our primary savings account and requires the member to have $5000.00 or more in the account in order to earn the interest rate. If the balance drops below $5000.00 then the funds will earn the primary savings account interest rate at that time instead of the higher interest rate.
Overdraft Services
An overdraft occurs when you do not have enough money in your account to cover a transaction, but we pay it anyway. This service saves you the potential embarrassment and inconvenience of a returned item, as well as a returned item fee or other fees normally charged by merchants for items returned to them. Regular Savings Account-
This is a dividend-bearing account with a minimum deposit of $5.00.
Your dividends earned are based on the amount of your average daily
balance compounded monthly. ATM cards are linked to this account
for convenient Point-of-Sale access. Make a purchase and get cash
back!
To help the government fight the funding of terrorism and money laundering activities, Federal law requires all financial institutions to obtain, verify, and record information that identifies each person who opens an account.
When you open an account, we will ask your name, address, date of birth, and other information that will allow us to identify you. We will ask to see your driver's license or other identifying documents and we will make copies for your account file at Hannaford Associates Federal Credit Union. This same type of identification will be requested of others that you add to your existing account. In all cases, protection of your identity and the confidentiality of this information is our pledge to you.

Shared Branching
Hannaford Associates FCU now participates in Shared Branching! You have the ability to perform financial transactions at over 6,400 branches of other credit unions and self-service locations around the country and in some international areas. Your accounts will remain at HAFCU, but you will be able to access your accounts with credit unions convenient to your area. You can also perform transactions from accounts you have with other credit unions at HAFCU. When doing a transaction through the Shared Branching network you will need your member number and a valid Government issued photo I.D. with a signature. All transactions must be performed at the teller window (unless using a self-service location) of the credit union branch (no ATM transactions or drive-thru access allowed through Shared Branching). Share Certificates-
Have you gotten a case of stock market jitters? Not sure what to
do with that nest egg you’ve just received? Hannaford Associates
FCU has certificates available from 3 months to 5 years. In addition,
variable minimum balance certificates have been established for

Vacation Club-
Sometimes called our Special club, this account shares many of the
same features as our Christmas club. But instead of an annual transfer
to your savings, you may draw from this account twice a calendar
year with no withdrawal fees. Many of our members use this account
for vacations, taxes or insurance. *After the two withdrawals, early
withdrawal fees apply.
